Programs

The DuFief PTA organizes many of the “extra” programs, activities and opportunities for the students at DuFief Elementary School. The PTA is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and it is the parents of the DuFief community that pull these activities together.

If you have an idea for a program or activity that you would like to see at the school, please come to our PTA meetings and let us know! Please consider dedicating some of your time to helping out with one of the activities you value.

Before / After School Programs

The DuFief PTA supports members of the school community in finding programs of interest and bringing them to DuFief ES. Interested parents have brought many wonderful extracurricular activities to our school.

Ability Awareness Week

December 6th – 10th, 2021

This week-long program is designed to educate our students about various types of disabilities and teach them how to be empathetic allies to differently abled people. During AAW, we incorporate awareness of different types of disabilities into the week’s curriculum, invite speakers to present to individual grades, and hold a school-wide assembly. The message that everyone, despite differences and abilities, is a valued and capable member of society is incorporated into the academic, music, physical education, and art curricula.

Reflections Program

The National PTA Reflections Awards Program encourages students in Pre-K through grade 12 to create theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.
